How do I lead change without sounding like a bossy bully?

Being a leader, especially one who is leading and expecting change, can be challenging and requires many skills and talents. The last thing I would ever want to do is inflict fear into people when trying to lead change. So I hunted the internet once again to find an answer to my question.
